Make a Gift to Honor the Last American Jaguar, Macho B
For 16 years the last known living American jaguar -- Macho B -- lived a wild life roaming the American Southwest. On Monday, March 2, he was killed in a Phoenix zoo after being repeatedly captured and collared. This terrible loss doesn't need to happen again -- and won’t if a recovery plan is put in place and designated critical habitat for the jaguar is protected.
Make a generous gift today to the Jaguar Recovery Fund. Your gift will honor Macho B and provide the necessary resources for the Center for Biological Diversity to pursue a lawsuit to secure long-term protections for the jaguar.
With your support, we can honor the memory of Macho B by helping jaguars return safely to the rugged deserts and mountains of the American Southwest. Thank you.
