Big Oil thought they had this one in the bag.
But our actions to stop the Keystone XL pipeline has proven that our voices matter. We’ve come together, sending letters, making phone calls, taking action all across the country. What we do matters, and we need you this week.
The public comment period on the environmental impacts report of the Keystone XL pipeline ends on Friday.
Raise your voice and submit a comment to the State Department. Join us in saying No to the Keystone XL pipeline!
Reasons to reject the pipeline are clear - it’s a carbon catastrophe that will increase extraction of heavy tar sands oil in Alberta, Canada. And a giant pipeline snaking across the United States, crossing sensitive waterways, is a risky proposition. Spills happen, and Big Oil has repeatedly proven how little safety and cleanup factor into their planning.
There are only a few days left. Make sure Obama listens to your voice, and not Big Oil’s pressure.
P.S. Let's make sure President Obama knows just where we stand on Keystone XL. Urge five of your friends and family and let them know how they can help defeat Keystone XL.
