Dear Supporter,

You’ve stood with us to oppose destructive free trade agreements and advocate for Fair Trade for workers worldwide.

Now we need you to join us to stop this latest ‘NAFTA on Steroids’.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is poised to become the largest Free Trade Agreement in history, with profound negative consequences for social, environmental, and economic justice, as well as basic human rights throughout the world. After three years of negotiations, we don’t know much about the TPP, because the text has been kept in secret.

But the few things we do know aren’t making us feel any better about the whole thing: giving corporations more power, trampling labor rights, pitting countries against each other in ‘competition’ and increasing the privatization of services. And so much more.

The negotiators (including hundreds of corporate lobbyists) want to wrap up in the next few months and then go back to their home countries for approval. In the United States, the U.S. Trade Representative, Mike Froman, is pushing for approval on a ‘fast track’ - limiting any discussion in Congress. With your help, we can stop it.

We must stop the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Now is the time to urge your U.S. Congressperson to oppose the TPP.

In solidarity,

Carleen Pickard
