Dear Supporter,

Happy Fair Trade month!

Global Exchange has been a nationally recognized leader of the Fair Trade movement in the United States for years. We support Fair Trade because it revolutionizes the global economy by setting minimum standards for economic, social, and environmental performance of companies.

Every October the Fair Trade movement celebrates Fair Trade month. Global Exchange Reality Tours offer Fair Harvest delegations to learn about Fair Trade coffee, chocolate, olives and olive oil throughout the year. Consider joining one of these trips in 2013!

Coffee: Harvest social justice and join the Fair Coffee Harvest Reality Tour to Nicaragua! Investigate the volatile history of global coffee on the commodities market. Live with a local farming family and harvest alongside CECOCAFEN farmers to harvest coffee beans.

Chocolate: The Fair Cocoa Harvest Reality Tour to the Dominican Republic put chocolate lovers to work with CONACADO, a Fair Trade certified cooperative. From seed to pod to roasting you will experience the full life cycle of cocoa to chocolate.

Olives and olive oil:
The Fair Olive Harvest Reality Tour experiences the legendary hospitality of Palestinian culture while meeting with organic olive farmers. Learn the benefits of supporting Palestinian Fair Trade products.
