Dear Supporter,

Are you down with the Global Frackdown?

We’ve joined thousands of communities all over the world, and endorsed the Global Frackdown, a Global Day of Action to say enough of the oil and gas industry's campaign of lies and NO to the destruction caused by hydraulic fracturing.

Now, it’s time to hit the streets and participate on September 22, 2012 to make this Global Day of Action massive. Join in and endorse now!
Where will you be? Find a local action and add your voice against fracking to thousands around the world.
In 2010, I attended the International Premiere of Gasland at Toronto’s Hot Docs Festival. Since then, the film has risen as the ‘go-to’ educational documentary on the perils of fracking.

The movie was such a threat that the oil and gas industry went to huge lengths to try to have it’s 2011 Oscar nomination revoked by setting up a fake group called Energy In Depth (the website for this ‘group’ no longer exists).

But back to the Global Frackdown ... The movement to end fracking passed hundreds of resolutions against fracking, prevented plans to frack communities across the United States, Europe and Africa, and ramped up campaigns against pipelines and export facilities. In 2010 Pittsburgh, PA passed a ban.

On September 22, the Global Frackdown will call for a ban on fracking worldwide!

See you at the Frackdown or find it on Facebook.
