Tell FERC: No Cove Point Fracked Gas Export Facility!

On May 15, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) released a draft “Environmental Assessment” (EA) of Dominion Resources’ proposed $3.8 billion fracked gas export plan at Cove Point. The EA defies basic facts and sweeps serious dangers under the rug. In other words, FERC spoke for Dominion and the gas industry -- not for us.

Now it's our turn to speak out. FERC is accepting public input on its draft environmental review for 30 days. From increased fracking and pipelines to worsening climate pollution and safety risks to Calvert County residents, we know Dominion's Cove Point plan is NOT in the public interest. If FERC takes any next step on this project -- short of rejecting Dominion's permit -- it must be to conduct a thorough and comprehensive "Environmental Impact Statement" (EIS).
