New Transgender Curriculum from Interweave!
Interweave Continental is pleased to announce the release of Transfiguring Congregations, a new curriculum on transgender identity and inclusion for congregations.
The curriculum offers an introduction to gender identity and expression, intersections of gender with faith, effective allyship, and deepening congregational inclusion and affirmation of people of all gender identities and expressions. Learn more!

Remembering Bayard Rustin
August 28 was the fiftieth anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington, a powerful opportunity to celebrate the organizer of the March, Bayard Rustin, a black, out gay man whom historian John D’Emilio calls the “lost prophet” of the civil rights movement.

The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians in northern Michigan joined at least two other American Indian tribes in passing a law that explicitly allows for same-sex marriage. Shortly thereafter a wedding was held on the reservation for a same-sex couple. Thanks to the recent Supreme Court decision, their union will be federally recognized. Read more.
